Photo competition - and the winner is...

Congratulations to Lifon Pluto, winner of the 10c Deposit Photo Competition and to runner-up Glen Clark. Many thanks also to everyone who entered, the photos were fantastic and the choice a difficult one. To see all the entries, go to the "10c Can Change the World" Facebook Page.

In Victoria, we've stopped noticing drink container litter. The photos submitted help us to see litter differently - each can, bottle and carton could be worth 10c!. We need to raise awareness of drink container litter, to show the difference a 10c deposit would make.

The winning photo from Lifon Pluto is above, it's from the dry riverbed of the Wimerra river just outside of Dimboola. Lifon wins a choice of a beanbag or another great prize from Upcycled.

Following is the runner-up photo from Glen Clark and some honourable mentions.

Glen Clark - runner-up - Merri Creek footbridge after rain showing the washup of assorted PET bottles, cans, etc. Glen Clark wins a laptop satchel, also from Upcycled.

Kristian Clancy - honourable mention for showing the sort of horrible rubbish that happens at festivals. A large amount of the rubbish is plastic cups as well as bottles and cans, perhaps there's another campaign in that? Kristian included great captions pointing out the number of people "walking past their rubbish" and pointing out there were "bins everywhere". This is exactly the reason we need 10c Deposits in Victoria.

Georgina Heydon - honourable mention for coming along to the rally on Parliament steps.

Thanks again to everyone who entered the competition, you can become a fan of the campaign on the "10c Can Change the World" Facebook page.
